Shahid to enter Mira Nair’s camp

Mira Nair, the maker of distinct flavoured movies like ‘Mississippi Masala’, ‘Kama Sutra: A Tale of Love’, ‘Monsoon Wedding’ and ‘The Namesake’ has her eyes on B-town’s chocolate hero Shahid Kapoor.

Birdies say that Nair has a serious-themed project down the line which is based on Mohsin Hamid's 2007 bestseller novel ‘The Reluctant Fundamentalist’. The film will have an intense story of a Pakistani man and about the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

Interestingly, there was a tie between Shahid and Ranbir, as to who will play the lead hero. However, the filmmaker felt that Shahid suited more for the serious character.

As of now talks are going between the actor and the director….
